Division 1

The Vinyls v Those Guys

The Vinyls head into this one lacking match practice after unfortunately missing a few games last week due to forfeits from the Pinoys. This could be a classic as both teams boast strong and experienced squads to choose from. Mario returns to the Vinyl fold in all likelihood and Matt and Rick started the season strongly. Old heads Lee and Huck provide backup in what could be a strong singles lineup. They will need it against the equally impressive Those Guys. Big Boy and Odilicious are great scorers and like Vinyl they have strength in depth if anyone is off form. Ruud and Matt also produced some of good darts last week as they brushed aside the challenge from Charmed Assassins.

Pikey says it could be a close one but is putting his lucky pegs on a 7-5 win for the Guys from Malt – probably decided in the Team Game..

The Tavern v Charmed Assassins

Both of these teams were comprehensively beaten last week and will both see this as a possible match where they can claim three points this season. Neil from the Tavern will be seeking to turn his tons into game winners, after falling short in his checking last week. They will be happy to be playing at home this week and a favourable singles draw could see them claim their first win. The Assassins will beg to differ and with consistent darters like Jeff and Andy G I can see them putting up a good fight.

Two fairly evenly matched teamS ,however I believe Neil’s sausage rolls will be the deciding factor in an 7-5 victory for the home team

Division 2

Alayah v The Bounced Cheques

Alayah will be looking to build upon a strong end to the game against NSW. It was a good team performance and they will look again to Mr Z and Willy to set the standard in what is sure to be a tight game. Bounced Checks were the only Division winners last week, with a convincing win against Phattys Phukkers. Thuong had a night to remember and her ability to check quickly will put Alayah under pressure. The win was all the more impressive as one their top players last season, Matty, was missing.

Pikey Pete wouldn’t stake his caravan on this but this could be a real good game and fancies The Bounced Cheques to just sneak it 7-5.

No Star Where v Really Rottens

Looking to pick themselves up from last week’s disappointing end of match collapse, when victory was just within their grasp, No Star Where have their second home game in a row. Fudgie will be looking for more clinical performances from his team in the Singles this week, though will have been buoyed by his own game and the support offered by Eng and Rob W. They come up against a Rottens team, who were quite dependent on Guppy last week. He was involved claiming four of their six points. They will looking for more support from the team this time around and in Alex and Roch they have players capable and experienced enough to give the Rottens a good chance of victory and show they are not a one man ,albeit a small one, team.

Pikey is going for another tight match but fancies NSW to just snatch it. 7-5

Division 3

BAZ V DM Dailo’s

Pikey read Matt C’s Facebook report on their rather surprising defeat last week. Obviously the discomfort they felt at the venue was reflected in a disappointing performance, where only Peter and Sally left with head held high. They no doubt have been back at the oche since to fine tune their game and looking at last week’s result for fellow new team DM Dailo’s, the team from Phu My Hung will be confident. Dailo’s were given a tough introduction last week with only Sam Chan and Sang really troubling the scorers.

Pikey sees a win this time around for BAZ  and is sticking his neck out for a 10 -2 victory

Nomads v Buddha Bar

Buddha’s tough start continues and though they performed admirably last week to overcome fancied BAZ; this may prove a little more difficult. The Nomads play their first fixture at their new home Malt and many of their team has been playing in social tournaments there, for much of the off season. Nomads cruised to victory last week with an all-round great team performance. It will be harder this week but they will see it as an opportunity to smash down one of their potential rivals early on.

Pikey sees another pretty comfortable victory for The Nomads and is going with a comprehensive 8 -4 win for the home team.
